Teach Children to Draw!

Have you worked with elementary or preschool children?
Do you have an interest in art?

Young Rembrandts is a national after-school program. Our innovative step-by-step process teaches children basic drawing skills. Our curriculum is stimulating, age appropriate, and encourages children to use their imaginations while improving their motor skills, patience, focus and ability to stay on task. Parents and students love it!

We train our instructors in the Young Rembrandts’ methodology and teaching techniques. Formal teaching experience is not required, but a strong background working with children is highly desirable. Lessons and materials are provided.

Young Rembrandts instructors teach in public and private elementary schools and normally work two to three afternoons per week. We teach at the end of the regular school day, so your drawing class would start between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m., depending on the school district. Instructors are assigned to specific schools and stay with the same groups of children throughout each semester. No classes on weekends.

Our instructors earn $18-$20 per class for teaching and $8.00 an hour for any required non-teaching duties. There is a monthly teachers’ meeting that requires 1.5-2 hours in the evening and this is compensated at the non-teaching rate. Please note that this position is considered “very light, part-time” work (i.e., 1-hour/day).

We project to have openings in Diamond Bar, Walnut, Rowland Heights, Chino Hills, Brea, Covina, West Covina and Hacienda Heights. Only candidates within the East San Gabriel Valley will be considered.

Please e-mail your resume to youngrembrandts@msn.com or fax resume to (626) 966-7119. Please include your availability.

Visit www.youngrembrandts.com for information on the national program.

Teaching YR is too much fun!!
